Innoviant Preferred Products
Innoviant has created a preferred products program to provide a high quality,
cost-effective program for pharmacy services.
Using the prescription products listed on the Innoviant Preferred Products List
gives our members the ability to reduce prescription costs.
The Innoviant Preferred Products List was developed by
the Innoviant Pharmacy and
Therapeutics (P&T) Committee which is comprised of independent physicians
and pharmacists. This committee has designed
a list of prescription products that maximize therapeutic outcomes and
control rising prescription costs. This committee evaluates all
available products within each therapeutic category for their efficacy,
safety and cost, and then places preferred products on the Innoviant Preferred
Products List. The development of the Preferred Products List is a
dynamic and ongoing process as new prescription products enter the
marketplace.

When eligible prescriptions are filled at a participating pharmacy,
the pharmacist receives online messaging that provides preferred
product information and offers alternatives to nonpreferred products.
At the point of sale, pharmacists may discuss substituting the
nonpreferred product with a preferred alternative with members
and their physician.
